3 Birds Marketing, an interactive marketing agency with a powerful proprietary communications platform, is seeking a fulltime content writer and copyeditor. The content writer and editor will be expected to generate and create content ideas on deadline, edit the work of freelancers and interns, and work closely with the Content Coordinator and Account Managers to ensure that content needs are met.
Job description:
Applicant must have outstanding writing and editing skills with advanced knowledge of AP Style. The content writer and editor is expected to be meticulous, with a strong eye for detail; have advanced understanding of grammar; and have the ability to write in a variety of styles and tones. An ideal applicant will excel at critical and creative thinking; be innovative, positive, and witty; and will have a great sense of humor.
At the interview, you will be given an hour-long writing test to assess your skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience writing excellent, high SEO-value copy, including newsletter articles and features; blog posts; press releases; social media posts; and marketing copy for email campaigns, landing pages, banners, etc.
Exceptional proofreading and fact-checking skills, for your own and others' work
Ability to keep track of multiple clients’ content needs simultaneously
Have experience in email marketing, optimization, compliance, and best practices
Be able to learn new software and skills quickly
Be knowledgeable about SEO, SEM, website analytics, social media, online reputation management, and data mining
Must be comfortable working under pressure, deadline oriented, and able to deliver content on or ahead of schedule
Ability to research, analyze, and draw conclusions about content based on open and click rates and other indicators
Have a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, or a related field, and/or 1 to 5 years of experience
Knowledge of cars and the automotive industry is a plus but not required
